Dollhouse needlepoint footstool kit Alice (green)

SKU: 6021 Category:

Your dollhouse isn’t complete without some miniature furniture handmade by you to bring it to life! This needlepoint kit for a beautiful 1:12 scale footstool is called ‘Alice (green colourway)’, and features deep red and old gold roses and rosebuds. It’s the perfect accessory for your miniature room!

This listing is for a 1:12 scale (1 inch = 1 foot) kit to create a dollhouse needlepoint footstool that measures 1 1/4 inches diameter by 3/8 inches high including the bun feet when stitched and assembled.

The footstool top is stitched in tent stitch, which is similar to half cross stitch. Created on 28 count evenweave fabric, this kit is suitable for beginners. The footstool only takes a few hours to complete, as the 28 count evenweave fabric is already coloured, so you only need to stitch the design detail – the background fabric is left showing.

This footstool kit includes:

-28 count evenweave fabric
-Anchor stranded cotton floss thread
-Tapestry needle
-Detailed instructions
-Colour block chart to count the design from (please note: the design is not printed on the evenweave fabric)
-Domed mount for the finished stitching
-Round mahogany footstool base and three bun feet which simply need gluing in position. The wood can be finished using wax polish, or any suitable interior household stain or varnish of your choice, before inserting the stitching in the base.

Suitable for beginners.

Style: Victorian (1837 – 1901)
