Jo’s Sweet Shop
This miniature needlepoint rug called ‘Janine’ was stitched by Jo L, and she’s used it in her cute 1:12 scale dollhouse sweet shop. I think it looks just fabulous! The shades of the rug go so well with the stripes of the wallpaper.
Jo said, “I’ve just recently given your needlepoint kits a try – I’m not a sewer by any means, but I’ve been doll housing for a few years now and wanted to try something different. I started with one of your little footstools, then a cushion, and this is my third piece. I’m quite pleased with the results. It’s just perfect for the miniature sweet shop which I recently completed.”
I’d agree with that – it does look just lovely in this miniature sweet shop!
If you’d like to try this ‘Janine’ rug kit, it’s available from here. The kit contains 18 count canvas, plenty of Appletons crewel wool, a tapestry needle, a colour block chart to count the design from (the design is not printed on the canvas), and detailed instructions.
