This needle holder is a clever sewing gadget that a busy stitcher just can’t do without – it is one of those gifts that is always welcome, as it is so useful! It will keep track of your needle for you when you are in the middle of stitching and need to stop for a while. Have you ever put your needle down and forgotten where you put it? Never lose your needle again – simply place it on this magnetic needle holder, and the strong rare earth (neodymium) magnet inside it will mean that your needle will ‘stick’ to the needle minder, keeping it safe.
This cute needle holder design features a gorgeous image taken from a dollhouse scale needlepoint sampler design of mine, featuring the words ‘Count your blessings’. The original stitching was done in needlepoint on 32 count evenweave fabric, so the image on this needle minder shows the stitching at about life size. These needle holders make great gifts for a stitcher with a positive outlook on life, or a treat just for you!
HOW DOES A NEEDLE HOLDER WORK?
The needle holder comes in two parts – there is a top piece which has a rare earth magnet inside, and a second rare earth magnet on its own. Simply put the top piece on your fabric and place the second magnet underneath your fabric to hold the top piece in place. Place your needles on the top piece to keep them safe, and you’ll always know where they are! The magnets are very strong – they should even hold a small pair of embroidery scissors, or other small metal sewing equipment, such as a laying tool or stitch ripper.
This needle holder comes neatly packaged, mounted on card, and sealed in a polypropylene bag, suitable for giving as a gift. Please note that the needles and other accessories shown in the images are not included.
